This Product Update provides a summary of changes and enhancements to the existing application that impact all customers. When applicable, it includes changes to functionality that were made to resolve customer-specific issues and that apply to all Tenovos users.

Unless otherwise stated, the availability of each update is as follows:

Webhooks​

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new feature: Webhooks! This addition marks a significant enhancement to our platform, designed to provide you with more flexibility, real-time data, and seamless integrations.

What are Webhooks?​

In simple terms, a webhook is like a "messenger" that sends automated messages or information from one application to another when a specific event happens. Think of it as getting a text message notification when a package is delivered to your doorstep.

For example, if an important event occurs in our system—like an asset being deleted, a user changing the security on an asset, or metadata being updated—a webhook can instantly send that information to another application you use, such as your CRM, PIM, or any other software that supports webhooks.

  • Real-Time Updates: No more waiting! Get immediate notifications and updates as soon as events happen. Works out of the box for real time triggers in Tenovos Connect to immediately power your integrations in real time.
  • Automation: Reduce manual work by automating data transfer between the Tenovos platform and your other applications.
  • Seamless Integration: Easily connect Tenovos with your existing systems, creating a more efficient and integrated workflow.
  • Enhanced Efficiency: Save time and resources by eliminating the need to manually pull or check for updates.

How to Get Started with Webhooks​

Web User Interface​

  1. Navigate to the Webhook settings: Go to the Admin settings and find the new Webhooks section.

    NOTE: Tenovos Webhooks is available to roles with the Webhooks role privilege. Users without that privilege will not see the Webhooks option in Tenovos Admin.

  2. Create a Webhook: Click on Create Endpoint and fill in the required details, such as the URL of the application you want to send data to and the type of events you want to be notified about.

  3. Test Your Webhook: Based on the event type(s) you selected, perform a corresponding action in your Tenovos account. Go back to the Webhooks page, select the Logs menu option, and confirm that the event matches your action.

  4. Activate and Monitor: Once tested, you can monitor its activity and logs within the Webhook section.

Tenovos API v1.5​

Keeping with this year’s theme of enhancing integration capabilities, our new Webhook endpoints in API v1.5 are now available to all customers. This provides maximum flexibility for leveraging our new Webhooks feature set by allowing you to customize your own management UI, or systematically create and manage endpoints based on your integration needs.

Customers currently using the Tenovos API can continue to use their existing v1 API keys and local account credentials when calling the new Webhook endpoints in API v1.5.
